Coming in hot as the first company ever to be kicked off of HackerOne for hostility to researchers, the mobile voting platform Voatz has been nominated for the Epic Fail award following a general mess of a year. Highlights include an unsolicited brief to the Supreme Court in support of a broad interpretation of CFAA, disputing the results of a security review by MIT researchers, and then commissioning their own security review by Trail of Bits before once again denying the findings.
